Q. Do we have to be Catholic to send our child to St. Mary Our Mother School?
A. We welcome students of all faiths to our learning community.
Q. What curriculum do you follow?
A. Our curriculum is guided by the Diocese of Rochester's highest standards, as well as those set by New York State.
Q. Are uniforms required?
A. Uniforms are required for grades K-6
Q. Do you have extended child care?
A. Yes. We offer before school care for free, and an after school program, Stay & Play, for a small fee.
Q. How often do children attend mass?
A. We celebrate mass together several times throughout the school year. In addition to sacred days of obligation, we celebrate mass together on the 1st Friday of each month, with a different grade hosting the mass each month. Children are in uniform on mass days with the exception of the class that is hosting the mass. Those children are allowed to dress up.
Q. What school calendar do you follow?
A. We follow the Horseheads Central School District calendar
Q. How will I know if there is a school closing?
A. School closings are announced on the local news media. If Horseheads School District is closed, we are closed as well.
